About

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes you unique?

We are a non-traditional school for students with Dyslexia, ADHD, or non-traditional learners.

Do you offer onsite therapy?

We do not offer therapy onsite, however we have services that we could recommend if needed.

Can parents pay extra for onsite services or bring in offsite experts?

We allow parents to arrange for their students to have therapy sessions during school hours.

Do you have parent support groups?

We are a small school, just starting in 2023. At this time we do not offer support groups, but we may in the future.

How is your staff trained?

All teachers are certified with a background in teaching children with learning challenges. The reading teacher is also certified to teach Wilson, the structured literacy curriculum that we use to help our students learn the foundations of reading.

Transportation?

Parents drop off and pick up their students. With school assistance, parents can arrange a bus/van service to take students to local after school care. There is a fee for these services.

Do you take children with behavior issues?

We individualize our decision to take each child. Some children may have had behavior challenges simply because of their previous school environment. We offer two shadow days so that prospective students can engage in activities with us for full days. We will base our decisions on those experiences.

Tuition?

Tuition for 2023 - 2024 is $19,500. We do accept SB10.

When it comes to behavior issues, what are your standard policies for a child continuing in your school?

We work daily with students to correct behavior. We consistently discuss what to do when a student reaches their frustration level. We offer them frequent breaks, alternative learning methods, and offer accommodations that should help correct the behavior. As long as a student is making progress, their behavior is not aggressive, and their behavior does not interfere with the learning of others we will continue to work with our students to develop desired behavior.

Can you challenge a high achieving academic child while also building core foundation skills?

Yes. As teachers with years of experience with both students with disabilities and high achieving students, we have many tools in our toolbox. Twice exceptional students are often extremely high in one area, but struggle with others. We strive to individualize student learning. We want to make sure that we are challenging our students in all areas of their academic achievements.

Do you offer college prep?

At this time, we only go to 8th grade. In the next year, we will offer 9th grade, and each year after adding another grade.

Do you have co-op opportunities for your older students?

We have a virtual academy that we can partner with if students want to participate in a hybrid style learning environment. This will be on an individual basis.
