St. William School offers a Special Education Program that aims to help children with Autism and Special Needs reach their full potential. The program provides both resource room and inclusive settings for students with special needs. The support staff includes a Reading Specialist for grades K-2, Intervention Specialists, Speech Pathologists, an Occupational Therapist, School Psychologist, School Counselor, Title 1 Reading & Math teacher, and Paraprofessionals. The program offers ongoing assessments to ensure continued appropriate placement. St. William School's Special Education Program is the perfect place to give your child the "jump start" they need in academic, as well as social preparation. The staff will assist in planning a successful transition to other educational levels when needed. Parents can apply for the Jon Peterson or Autism scholarships which cover tuition, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and an Intervention Specialist to provide direct instruction based on the students' individual needs.
