Welcome to Miami Learning Experience School, a 501(c)(3) non-profit school for children and adults with intellectual disabilities founded in 1977. At Miami Learning Experience School (MLE), we know that children and adults with special needs have capabilities far beyond what was imagined before. At MLE we provide personal care and attention, carefully developed programs, and objectives that help each student achieve their goals. We are of the belief that all children with developmental disabilities have the potential for learning and becoming active members of our community as independent as possible. This is not just what we believe here at MLE, this is what we strive to achieve!

What makes you unique?
We work with students of all exceptionalities and serve families of individuals ages 5- adulthood.
Do you offer onsite therapy?
We allow therapy onsite but do not have our own therapies.
Can parents pay extra for onsite services or bring in offsite experts?
Parents are allowed to utilize their own RBT and may select from our approved list of therapy providers.
Do you have parent support groups?
We provide parent workshops throughout the year but do not have support groups.
How is your staff trained?
All of our teachers are certified SE teachers. Our staff must complete CEUs annually including our assistants through NASET.
Transportation?
We do not provide transportation to/from school.
Do you take children with behavior issues?
No
Tuition?
Tuition varies by age group
When it comes to behavior issues, what are your standard policies for a child continuing in your school?
We will work with a family for a resolution but if the family is not in agreement or does not follow through on the agreed strategy, they will be asked to leave the school.
Can you challenge a high achieving academic child while also building core foundation skills?
We only work with low achieving students.
